Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech
Today, we will take a guided tour of Marrakech. We will also explore areas of the city such as Gueliz, the Menara Gardens, and the Majorelle Gardens. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will have the opportunity to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
Today, your tour begins with views of the Atlas Mountains as we wind through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous on the big screen for films such as Gladiator and the popular HBO series, Game of Thrones. Afterward, we will continue to Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Film Studios and a kasbah located in the city. We will continue our tour from Marrakech to the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Afterward, we will head to the Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night in a hotel/riad.
Day 3: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara
Here, we will continue our tour to visit the Todra Gorges, a colorful and narrow canyon famous among outdoor enthusiasts. We will continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert and renowned for its unique fossils. There, we will visit a local factory that produces handicrafts and home decor items made from fossils. There is also a local shop where you can buy souvenirs.
Afterward, we will head to Rissani, where we will visit the local souk and then head into the desert to reach Merzouga. Upon reaching a checkpoint, we’ll disembark from the vehicle and begin our camel trek through the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides. We’ll arrive at the Merzouga Desert Camp, where we’ll spend the night in Berber tents. This spectacular evening will be unforgettable with a unique, traditional Berber dinner under the stars, topped off with tribal music around a desert campfire.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert
This day will be dedicated to exploring the Merzouga Desert. You’ll have the opportunity to explore at your leisure, with the option of taking a camel ride or exploring in the comfort of a 4×4. We’ll also visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its traditional music. Watching the sunset behind the dunes of the impressive Sahara Desert is a must-see. We’ll spend the night in a small riad/hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Midelt
After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel through Rissani and Erfoud, stopping in Midelt, in the Atlas Mountains, for lunch. We will explore Midelt at our own pace or retire to a local hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Midelt – Fez
Today, we will explore Midelt in depth and then head to Azrou, where we will stop to explore a forest resort and possibly feed the wild monkeys that reside there. We will continue to Ifrane and then to Fez, where we will spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 7: Guided Tour of Fez
Today, we will explore Morocco’s oldest city and enjoy strolling through its alleys and lanes. Sightseeing visits include the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish Quarter, as well as other cultural and historical sites such as Al-Qaraouine University, the tanneries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. You can spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating medina before dinner at a local restaurant. We will spend the night in Fez at a local riad/hotel.
Day 8: Fez – Chefchaouen
Today we will drive from Fez to Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. We will explore the medina of Chefchaouen and spend the night in a local riad/hotel.
Day 9: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
After breakfast and a mid-afternoon in the Blue Pearl (Chefchaouen), we will head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to explore its main attractions. There we will have lunch before continuing to Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca, where we will spend the night.
Day 10: Casablanca – Marrakech
Today we will visit the main sights and monuments of Casablanca, including the Hassan II Mosque. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to Marrakech, where our tour concludes.
